ISSC follows a structured process to ensure independent, credible, and internationally recognized verification of greenhouse gas (GHG) reports and projects.

  • Certificate Ownership and Management

    • All validation and verification statements issued by ISSC remain the sole property of the company.

    • Clients must return these statements immediately upon ISSC's request, especially in cases of suspension, withdrawal, or expiry.

  • Proper Use of Validation/Verification Statements Marks

    Accurate Representation

    • Validated/verified clients are responsible for ensuring that references to ISSC validation or verification services are clear, accurate, and not misleading.

    • The use of ISSC statements or marks must strictly reflect the validated/verified scope and shall not imply certification, product approval, or any approval beyond the validated/verified claim... Load more

  • ISSC undertakes its validation and verification activities with impartiality.

  • ISSC is responsible for the impartiality of its validation and verification activities and does not allow commercial, financial, or other pressures to compromise impartiality.

  • ISSC monitors its activities and its relationships to identify threats to its impartiality.

    This monitoring includes the relationships of its personnel.

    The mechanism ISSC uses to monitor impartiality is its annual impartiality meeting, where ISSC’s Managing Director reports on matters relevant to impartiality to the impartiality committee members (who are independent of operations). They provide feedback and guidance... Load more

Appeal & Complaints

Complaint and Appeal Process

Complaints and appeals can be submitted in writing (such as a formal letter, email, or through the website) or verbally (such as a phone call, feedback during a sales visit, or during an audit).Complaints are managed at the contracting entity level within ISSC. If needed, an audit may be scheduled to carry out a proper investigation. In such cases, the client will be informed about the reason for this additional audit.

Timeframe

An initial response must be sent to the complainant or appellant within five working days from the date of receiving the complaint or appeal.The complete closure of the case must be done within 90 days from the date of receipt.If the client is not satisfied with the outcome or if the issue has not been resolved, the client has the right to contact the Accreditation Body for further action.
